CARBOXYMETHYL CELLULOSE (CMC) INFORMATION
CMC wound dressing is a soft nonwoven pad or ribbon dressing made from 100% carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) fibers, CMC fibrous wound dressing is proven technology for absorbent wound dressing.
CMC wound dressing forms clear gel when in contact with aqueous solution. The gelling allows the dressing to lock the moisture within the dressing providing the moist environment for optimum healing.
RE-ENFORCED CMC DRESSING
Re-enforced CMC wound dressing enhances the integrity especially the wet strength of the CMC wound dressing. This allows an integral removal of the dressing and makes the dressing more suitable for the application in the management of cavity wounds.
INDICATIONS
- Chronic wounds: leg ulcers, pressure sores, diabetic ulcers
- Acute wounds: donor sites, abrasions, lacerations, post-surgical wounds and first-and second-degree burn
